KUIPs comes under the auspices of the Council of Religion and Malay Custom Perlis (MAIPs) with HRH Tuanku Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail, as the principal patron. KUIPs offers distinctive and strategic programmes to produce students who are knowledgeable, ethical and trustworthy. The overflow of international students, which is in tandem with the globalization boom, supplies talents for local and international markets, and is among the reasons that supports the existence of KUIPs. KUIPs’ strategic location in theIndonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Golden Triangle (IMT-GT) also makes it an important key to success of the ASEAN agenda which was planned during the leadership of Tun Abdul Razak in the ‘70s. The total population of the region, which is in excess of 70 million, is a huge opportunity that should be used as effectively as possible.
